Why Did King Charles Halt His Ongoing Cancer Treatment?

Did you know that King Charles decided to halt his cancer treatment for sometime? He was planning a trip to Australia, along with his wife, Camilla. His doctors allowed him to halt his treatment for a period of 11 days, after which the king will resume his treatment. In fact, he has already started on his trip, and he reached Australia on 18th October 2024. It was reported that his doctors were really happy and that he decided to keep up with his treatment “right up until” his flight.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the doctors had given the green light for his short halt and allowed him to focus on his royal duties while keeping his health in check.

King Charles will always have a medical team by his side wherever he goes to ensure that he stays healthy throughout the trip. He has engagements every day in Australia, with a resting period of just one day!

King Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February, following prostate surgery, and has been undergoing weekly treatment since then. And they have not provided any further updates about his treatment in recent times.

As King Charles pauses his treatment, his doctors have reportedly outlined a new daily routine for him, including updated eating habits. Also, they have instructed him to eat lunch on an everyday basis, which is something he has avoided throughout his life.
