For all you “Charlie and the chocolate factory” lovers out there, this chaotic situation at a factory in Westoennen might amuse you for sure. Apparently, one of the storage tanks at the DreiMister’s faced what they call it a “small technical defect” that led to an outbreak of molten chocolate on to the pavement close to the manufacturing unit. The freezing cold roads actually made the mass to solidify in no time. Nearly 25 firefighters worked all night to clear the roads using hot water and shovels.
With Christmas and New Year around the corner, though the company lost quite some stock, Markus Luckey, the CEO, said that the situation would have been a catastrophe had it happened close to the festivities. Can we call this whole happening a sweet mess?
