According to a newly discovered report from an external investigator hired by PBS, former Reality show host Tavis Smiley alleged misconduct and had spent decades of sexual comments and inappropriate touching with his guests and subordinates on his show.
Allegations from several women are detailed in the report. One woman reported that years back, Smiley grabbed her butt while a photo was being taken and he also purposely made contact between his penis and her buttocks.
Another former employee of Smiley said that he asked her for lunch during office time. And on the drive back to the office he asked about her bra size and offered to take her to Victoria’s Secret to buy her some panties. Later she was fired.
Another accuser said, In 2016, she visited Smiley’s house and he opened the door without wearing pants then he asked her to have a threesome with him and his executive producer Kimberly McFarland, who was seen naked in Smiley’s bed looking scared.
Several women interviewed by the investigator said more and more about their consensual relationship with Smiley. And that they all were fired because they came to know more about Smiley’s behavior.
Smiley denied all of the misconduct allegations and claimed that he never engaged in such behavior. He said told the PBS investigator that he stopped all consensual relationships with employees around 10 years before the allegations surfaced. He also accused PBS of racial bias.
