Former American Idol contestant Dies!

A well-known participant in American Idol Season 11 is Haley Smith. She met with a major motorbike crash in Millinocket, Maine and died last weekend. As per the sources, the singer breathed her last breath on Saturday morning and the police state that she missed a sharp turn towards a residential road which is also a highway in some places. Adding to this she was dead on the spot. 

Haley’s father Mike Smith said that: “she was riding on a country road” and they assume that a “deer” passing by would have been the reason for the accident. He also said that she was a confident rider and maybe she “lost control” of the motorbike. 

Her appearance in Idol was briefly in 2012 when she attended the audition in Colorado. Though she didn’t make it after the 2nd round in Hollywood she left a remarkable place in the hearts of the judges. Some of the songs she sang Rufus and Chaka Khan’s “Tell Me Something Good,” adding a “folksy twist” which made left Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler go gaga. 

Commenting on her performance Steven said that it was great to see her sing a song “out of her era” as it was nothing matching her sound, vibe or looks. 

She was 26, and her loved ones said that they were making preparations for her upcoming birthday which is in November.
