The 1973 classic Robin Hood is getting a live-action and a redefined version from Disney+ which will be directed by Carlos López Estrada.
The screenplay will be done by Kari Granlund of Lady and the Tramp of Disney+ and it will be produced by Justin Springer who gave movies like The Jungle Book and Dumbo reboots.
The movie will have a combination of CGI and live-action and the casting or the expected date of release is yet to be decided. This was confirmed by insiders from the production house.
Carlos who made his directorial entry with Blindspotting in 2018 was much appreciated for his work even as a first-timer. He has also helmed one episode of FX’s Legion superhero drama and also few music videos for pop stars like Billie Eilish, Carly Rae Jepsen and so on.
The new version of the popular movie will make a niche with an array of Disney animation coming into live-action. Further, it is also Disney’s high budget projects in its most-viewed streaming platform with 50 million subscribers worldwide.
From the time of the streaming device, any live-action series has been premiered.
