Idris Elba is in the news many times now, for the right reasons though. The British actor was recently tipped to play ‘Deadshot’ in the Suicide Squad and has been basking in the title of ‘The sexiest man alive’ by the People Magazine.

It is said that when life opens up to opportunities, they galore all at once.

Now, Ralph Fiennes, who has played M, the head of the Secret Intelligence Service, in all the Bond films since 2012 has tipped Idris Elba as the next Bond after Daniel Craig steps down.

The English Patient star insisted Idris would be “a fantastic” James Bond despite Elba being uninterested in the role. If cast, Elba would be the first black Bond. We are yet to receive any confirmation from the movie producers, leaving fans in speculation.

The 25th Bond movie might very well be Craig’s last as 007 whose shooting will commence in the summer of 2019. Ralph went on to say, “I know we’re shooting this year,” he said. “I’m genuinely not being coy, I’ve not yet read a script. I don’t have a start date. I know that Daniel is playing Bond and I’m looking forward to starting that… I think sometime in May or June.”

Idris Alba receives stiff competition from Richard Madden who wowed the audience with his role in Bodyguard and clearly showed us glimpses of brilliance and sheer thrill synonymous to Bond films.

Whoever plays James Bond has to fill a huge void that would be left by Daniel Craig who many fans and critics all around the world deem him to be the best Bond ever.
