One of the most used apps in today’s world is WhatsApp which helps to send texts, voice messages, and videos and so on. Though it is useful in many ways, it has been misused by many to send spam messages. So the app firm has now announced that it will sue anyone or any business that violates their terms and conditions.
To be specific it will aim services that send automatic and bulk texts stated WhatsApp. The firm also said that it might even use offline services to take legal actions if necessary.
In a statement, it read: “Our products are not intended for bulk or automated messaging, both of which have always been a violation of our Terms of Service.”
The app was found to interact with close aids and their families. But it was got by Facebook soon and they introduced WhatsApp Business App and API for business to maintain client relationships.
The App was also made secure in order to prevent abuse for users. It also stated that: “We’re aware that some companies attempt to evade our machine learning systems, even as we work tirelessly to improve them. Using the on-platform information available within WhatsApp we’ve found and stopped millions of abusive accounts from operating on our service.”
Whatsapp was found in 2018 for Android users to create interactions between businesses and clients and convey their views via chats. The app was later introduced to iPhone users in 2019.
When it comes to India, small scale businesses have been depended on this app to enhance their business. As per reports, it is said that about 77% of Indian SMEs have stated that the platform has enabled them to communicate with clients across the nation. This has also helped them save their pockets from investing digitally.
As per a survey from WhatsApp, an approximate of 5 Million businesses have been done through the app each month.
