The Walt Disney World has decided to cut down operating hours for all its amusement parks post the reopening in July amidst COVID in Florida.
The Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios will close prior to an hour from the usual whereas Disney World Resort and the Animal Kingdom will be operating for 2 hrs less than the usual every day.
This will be implemented from September 8th to October.
Post remaining closed for months due to the ongoing pandemic Walt Disney World started operating from July mid-week with protective measures for all visitors and employees and also following the rules of social distancing, sterilization, dusting off the needs.
To get into the theme park visitors are expected to make a prior booking and get a ticket as the number of people to be permitted is limited.
Previously the firm said that it faced a huge downfall in its 3rd quarter with a sum of $3.5 billion. Reports stated: “Parks, Experiences and Products revenues for the quarter decreased 85 percent to $1.0 billion, and segment operating results decreased $3.7 billion to a loss of $2.0 billion,” and “lower operating results for the quarter were due to decreases at both the domestic and international parks and experiences businesses and to a lesser extent, at our merchandise licensing and retail businesses.”
Further Walt Disney World was seen getting into a controversy last month for the “Welcome Home” promotional clip that was shared in their social media which saw staff masked and greeting the guests.
