The federal court in Australia has now sued the prominent automobile Volkswagen AG with a huge sum of A$125 million ($86 million) for alleging the nation’s diesel emission regulations.

The fine has been witnessed as the highest till today by the court in the country as they have been charged for breaking the “Australian Consumer Law,” as per the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Further ACCC stated that the German automobile has accepted its fault and had said that: it had used two different software for checking the conditions of texting and driving. Hence it has not revealed the actual amount of nitrogen oxide emitted.

The impeachment of the rules had occurred when the automobile tycoon asked for permission to import and offer 57,000 cars in Australia during the years 2011 and 2015.

ACCC Chairman Rod Sims stated that: “Volkswagen’s conduct was blatant and deliberate and this penalty reflects a trend of ever-higher penalties for breaches of Australian consumer law.”

To this, the automobile giant did not comment immediately to the media when asked. Besides this, they have been found guilty in 2015 in the U.S when they found Volkswagen using restricted software during their pollution test. This has created a huge impact amidst diesel vehicles that had made them cost billions of money in a penalty, fine and so on.
