Only a little of evidence was given on the anti-malarial drug that was much anticipated by Trump to reduce COVID-19 when the Food and Drug Administration permitted to use it on an emergency basis.

And now they have been using remdesivir the drug that was used for treating Ebola and it is expected to get a nod from FDA officially. Though it’s not the ultimate solution to cure it, research states that it can reduce to some extent on moderately ill patients.

As per the latest reports, the Corona Virus death rates have risen up to 60,000 in the U.S. The testing reports with remdesivir said that the recovery of COVID-19 patients has improved by 31%.

Speaking on this Anthony Fauci the infectious disease expert said: “The data shows that remdesivir has a clear-cut, significant positive effect in diminishing the time to recover.”

Earlier Trump had told: “hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, taken together have a real chance to be one of the biggest game-changers in the history of medicine.” He kept adding millions of drugs in the National Strategic Stockpile and was pressing recovered patients whether they had taken it.

But after the researches which came last month stated that the usage of drugs leads to more deaths his bet just backfired.
