Researchers Say that Corona Might Spread Through Sex!

When the world is busy using hand sanitizers, face masks to safeguard from the ongoing pandemic crisis, scientists have revealed a shocking statement that they have found COVID-19 in semen hinting that having sex might be an issue.

The statement was confirmed through a study which was written by (American Medical Association) which was done by Chinese researchers at the Shangqui Municipal Hospital.

When the scientists got semen of 38 males affected by COVID-19, 6 tested positive and virus was found in their semen and they were under the age group of 20-50 years.

Their study said: “If it could be proved that [the coronavirus] can be transmitted sexually … that might be a critical part of the prevention, especially considering the fact that it was detected in the semen of recovering patients.”

Though it’s a nightmare it does not require any “extreme measures, as of now.” Further scientists say that they have to test more semen’s to confirm the spread.  Speaking on it was said: “More studies are required with respect to the detailed information about virus shedding, survival time and concentration in semen.”

But yet another survey taken previously took 12 samples of semen from infected people but they were tested negative. Though it seems like a sigh of relief, the spread of it is not common.

Moreover, Allan Pacey Professor of Andrology from Sheffield University stated that: “We should not be surprised if the virus which causes COVID-19 is found in the semen of some men since this has been shown with many other viruses such as Ebola and Zika.”

On a safer side, it is better to use condoms to prevent spreading through semen.
