When it comes to clothing, price and quality are the main things that people/ customers focus on. But, it seems like a popular brand has been knocked off in New York due to the shocking turn of events. Yes, H&M has been temporarily shut off as the customer found the lice crawling on the displayed clothing.

A former employee at H&M shared the images of bugs and lice crawling on the hoodie. Netroya B, who works at the store’s Oculus outlet at the World Trade Centre in Manhattan, said that the company was not doing enough to fix the problem.

Hence, the employee shared three bugs images, which resemble lice, on a rack of half a dozen hoodies (displayed clothing). She wrote on Twitter that “Today a customer discovered lice on a rack of hoodies.” She also added that “They’re not closing the store nor are they notifying employees of the problem.” and “only the section with bugs was just blocked off.”

The tweet has gone viral and it has garnered over 2,300 retweets and over a thousand quote retweets. In a follow-up tweet, she also added that she had resigned from the job and her last working day was on Friday.

She tweeted that “Thank you to everyone concerned about me losing my job. my last day is Friday (I’m resigning because I hate it there),” she also added in a tweet that “I apologized to my store manager because I did not expect my tweet to go up like this. I was just annoyed that it was being treated like a minor issue & it wasn’t his fault. It’s the company.”

As the tweet and post went viral, H&M responded to the incident by telling that “We take customer and employee safety extremely seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, we have closed the H&M store at Westfield World Trade Center to investigate fully.” H&M said in a statement.
