Greta Thunberg Gets $1 Million in Donation From This Shady Crypto Company

Greta Thunberg’s climate change initiative has recently got some attention, this time, not for some ecological reasons though.

Amidst Festive season, to celebrate the spirit of Christmas, Justin Sun, The CEO and founder of TRON, a crypto company, has pledged to donate $1 million to the Greta’s climate cause.

He took to Twitter to formally announce his donation. He said he believes that he shares the passion to change the world and reduce the carbon footprint.

As a young entrepreneur, I share @GretaThunberg’s passion to change the world. Crypto will contribute immensely on reducing carbon footprint by implementing decentralized settlement. I would like to personally commit USD$1 Mil to @GretaThunberg ’s initiative. #cop25

So what seems to be the problem?

Well, by now, it is pretty much evident that anything that involves the word ‘bitcoin’ sounds pretentious and scammy. It is reported in Crypto circles that there might be an ulterior motive behind this donation.

It has been rumored that Justin Sun’s crypto company is just a Chinese Government’s toy, meant to scam intended to undermine  US regulatory bodies. Other sources say that Justin Sun just funneled this money to plump up his company’s crypto value.

Well, we’ll just have to wait and watch how this pans out.
