The spouse and small child of a British scientist are battling for their lives in hospital after being violently assaulted by a giraffe at a wildlife reserve in South Africa.
Frightened Katy Williams, 35, and child Finn, 3, were left near only 150 yards from their home on the Blyde Wildlife Estate close Hoedspruit after the unnerving experience.
Spouse Sam Williams was returning home from work and saw his wife and child under attack and could pursue off the giraffe and spare their lives. The giraffe which had a multi-month old calf with it is accepted to have assaulted the youthful mum and her child since it felt under danger when they astonished her.
It is trusted researcher Dr. Katy Williams and her child Finn were trampled by the female giraffe in an awful and managed assault until the point that her better half Sam arrived and pushed the brute away.
