Akitoshi Okamoto was arrested for making thousands of calls to KDDI helpline, accusing them of violating his contract. As per the Telecommunications company, he has been calling for two-and-a-half years.
Mr. Okamoto called the company and insulted its customer service staff on several occasions. He used to call the helpline because his phone was unable to pick up radio broadcasts. When the representative used to state that it wasn’t possible, he demanded that a representative visit him and apologize.
In spite of all this Mr. Okamoto thinks he’s the victim.
As per a customer rep, he would call the company’s customer service line only to immediately hang up. Less like a customer and more like a creep.
KDDI had no intention of pressing charges. but then his name was so frequent that they couldn’t help but call the Police.
Mr. Okamoto has been booked on suspicion of “fraudulent obstruction of business”. As per this, the general public who make it impossible for a business to run normally can be charged.
