Elizabeth Debicki to Emma Corrin in Netflix’s ‘The Crown’?

The Crown series has made a change for the role of Princess Diana replacing debutant Emma Corrin with Elizabeth Debicki who starred in Widows and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet.

The news was confirmed by the show on Sunday stating that Elizabeth will be starring in the last two seasons.

The 29 yr old Aussie star will be seen from the 4th season which is aired in Netflix.

Speaking about this Debicki stated that: “Princess Diana’s spirit, her words, and her actions live in the hearts of so many.” “It is my true privilege and honor to be joining this masterful series, which has had me absolutely hooked from episode one.”

Elizabeth is one amongst few non-British actresses to be part of the show as per sources and is said to have acted in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, The Burnt Orange Heresy, etc.

Besides her, Two Popes star Jonathan Pryce will depict as Prince Philip in the last seasons. Adding to this Academy Award nominee Imelda Staunton will portray Queen Elizabeth instead of Olivia Colman. Lesley Manville plays Princess Margaret in the last 2 seasons.

Though the online streamer stated that the royal series will conclude with season 5, now it has said that it will have 6 and last season.

The last season will see the beginning of the 2000s and will probably show Diana’s divorce from Prince Charles and her unexpected demise in 1997.
