The Hollywood Reporter claims that actors Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Queen Latifah have updated their fans on the ‘Ice Age’ animated film franchise’s sequel.
According to Deadline, the studios also revealed that Ray Romano, John Leguizamo (Sid), Queen Latifah (Ellie), Denis Leary (Diego), and Simon Pegg (Buck), who were all part of the original ensemble, will be returning for the feature, which is currently in development and will be released in theaters soon.
Ice Age is an American media franchise centering on a group of mammals surviving the Pleistocene Ice Age.
More than 20 years have passed since the first Ice Age movie, which was co-directed by Chris Wedge, and Carlos Saldanha, debuted in theaters around the world in 2002, made over $383.3 million, then following up the original film, four sequels were also released, and got worldwide recognition. The most recent movie, 2016’s Ice Age: Collision Course, grossed $408.5 million globally. In the upcoming sequel, Leguizamo will play the ground sloth, Sid, Latifah will voice Ellie, and Romano will return to his role as the wooly mammoth, Manny. The sequel is presently in production, and will also feature Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg.
Disney has not yet shared the official release date for ‘Ice Age 6’, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
