The Jonas Brothers are all set to bring in the holiday spirit this 2025. After the news of the band returning to their Disney roots, here is a sneak peek of their upcoming holiday movie. The first look is here with a few more details about the movie.
“A Very Jonas Christmas” was the title announced at the JonasCon at the American Dream on 23rd March. The movie is set to premiere later this year on Disney+, where Nick, Kevin, and Joe will be facing a series of obstacles in their attempt to make it back from London to New York to spend Christmas with their families.
In an interview, Joe said, “I think Disney was just such a great partner to put the full force of the holiday magic behind this movie,” as Nick adds on saying, “One of the things that we’re really excited about, and that was so appealing to us about doing this project, … is that there’s a full album that’s coming along with the film that has some holiday music and some other music.”
Some stills from the movie show that the brothers were clearly not afraid to have some fun with the upcoming project. In one of the shots, where they appear to be inside a club, Joe is seen dressed in an Elton John-inspired look as his brothers look at him with expressions of concern. Another glimpse shows Joe and Kevin as full-on tourists, sporting German-style hats and a sweatshirt that says, “I don’t give a schnitzel.” In yet another clip, you can see the trio being stranded on a snowy road with luggage in hand, while in another frame, Nick is sitting among a selection of Christmas trees.
The movie was shot in Toronto and also stars Issac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan. It is directed by Jessica Yu. The Jonas Brothers first revealed their plans for the upcoming movie back in January, with a video of the trio reenacting the famous Love Actually cue card scene.
As they make their own funny version of the scene, where Joe does not understand the concept of telling viewers, “Hi, We’re the Jonas Br…” as Nick interjects, “No, don’t say it!” The whole point of this movie is “The whole point is you don’t say it, you just let them read it,” Nick then adds after five years. After their introduction, some cards reveal,” Sorry to bother you … but we’re making a Christmas movie.”
