Dustin Lee Hoffman was born on the 8th of August, 1937, in Los Angeles. He did his schooling at the Los Angeles High School. When he was in college, he dropped out after a year because his grades were not that good. However, before he dropped out, he took up a course on acting because he was told that absolutely nobody could “flunk” acting!

Dustin Hoffman is popular for taking up challenging roles and giving full justice to them. He was also a perfectionist, and so, some people found it pretty difficult to work with him. Yet, he is widely known to be one of the major founders of New Hollywood. Hoffman is also famous for his deep voice, which is one of his biggest assets. He met actor Gene Hackman at the Pasadena Playhouse. Both of them were huge fans of Marlon Brando.

Dustin Hoffman has played several roles in films, such as “Tootsie,” “Little Big Man,” “Hook,” “Finding Neverland,” “Midnight Cowboy,” “Kramer vs. Kramer,” and “Rain Man.” In the year 1966, Hoffman had the breakthrough of his life when he was voted as the “Best on Broadway Actor of the Year.” He has some Oscar nominations to his credit. In 2012, Dustin Hoffman received the Kennedy Center Honors.
