‘Hamilton’ the epic story in Broadway was once a masterpiece and people who were well to do were only lucky to watch it. As it was always on the sold-out list only a few were lucky to get tickets and had the opportunity to see it. But now it’s not the case as it is been released on Disney+ and whoever has a membership with the above can binge-watch the history unfolded.
Speaking on this on ‘Good Morning America’ Lin- Manuel stated: “You know, no one can predict the way a work is received, and the way ‘Hamilton’ has been received has surpassed everyone’s wildest dreams.”
Adding to this he told: “But our biggest issue has always been accessibility,” and “so I’m really glad we had the luxury to basically shoot an independent film in our first year and now the world can see what it felt like to be in that room in June 2016 next Friday.”
Further, a one minute trailer was premiered. Actually the film was to be released on October 15th, 2021 but luckily it is now moved prior to July 3rd, 2020 to watch it on the American Independence and all credit goes to the ongoing pandemic.
But the film is not the original version of the ‘Tony-winning musical’ and it is adapted from the stage edition which was made from the Richard Rodgers Theatre where it had a star cast of Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs and so on.
Besides, Lin also shared how it was filmed within 3 days by mixing live shows and chances of getting close shots and “all the coverage you would want to get in a movie.”
“So it was basically a three-day film shoot with the best-rehearsed cast in the history of the movies,” the Pulitzer Prize winner added, “because we had all been doing the show for a year at this point.”
