The rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis passes away at 87

The American rock ‘n’ roll pioneer dies at 87 at his home in Desoto County, Mississippi, with his wife beside him. The musician has produced iconic tunes like ‘The Great balls of fire’ and won several awards, including the Grammy lifetime achievement award. The last survivor of a generation that included Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard, known for his foot-stomping, energetic and lively performances, where he does not stay still while playing his instrument. 

Jerry dropped out of school and joined Sun Studios, eventually becoming a session musician for Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash, who were beginning their careers. With scandals(he was married seven times) and boycotts following, Jerry established himself through all of it.

Jerry made it to the headlines with his iconic works and scandals like his marriage with his 13-year-old cousin that canceled him. The scandals stopped the broadcast of his works. Any of this did not stop ‘The Killer’ from building his empire in music. In the 1960s, he started his tunes in country music after being canceled.‘Great Ball of Fires,’ a biopic about the pioneer, brought inside into his life. 

His music and finesse make him an important person in the history of rock ‘n’ roll, and he will remain immortal through his tracks.
