Stacey Dooley Talks about Her Beau Kevin Clifton Parting from BBC!

The former participants of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, Stacey Dooley has finally spoken about her boyfriend Kevin Clifton stepping down from BBC and has also defended saying that she was not behind it.

Talking to BBC Radio 5 Live she said that she was blamed for Kevin’s decision and it really “hurt” her.

She also jokingly said that her boyfriend was “totally incapable” of taking his own decisions,” in the fun interview.

Further when she was questioned about being responsible for Kevin to depart from Strictly Come Dancing as well, to which she replied that she was not part of this.

Dooley stated funnily: “Kevin is obviously totally incapable of making decisions for himself. So I swooped in and saved the day.” Adding to this she said: “Like it’s got anything to do with me what he does for a living. I mean, I think that he’s got things lined up that I’ll let him tell everyone about.”

Besides the host of the show, Nihal questioned: “Do you laugh about it or does it hurt?”

To this, she said: “You have to [laugh]. At the start, it hurts but then you realize it’s storytime. It’s a complete fantasy. There’s not an ounce of truth in so much of what is published.” “Initially you try and fight, but then you realize you can’t fight every day. I still have the LU2 (Luton area code) in me. I feel myself getting a bit gobby – that’s exactly what they want.”

Dooley also shared their love life and on taking their relationship further. She told: “Kev and I were such good pals for such a long time. I had such respect for him and he was so established in his world,” she explained. “He was just a real gentleman and we were friends.” She went on to add: “You win together, you have Christmas and then January comes around and you think ‘Where is he? I liked hanging out with him.’ So yes, [our relationship] was much later down the line for us.”
