Well known for his brilliance in acting, stunts and giving Magnus opus films which flourished the box office is none other than Tom Cruise. As Cruise is cruising through 60 he is into criticism of aging.
After starring in 2 Jack Reacher movies the writer of the crime novel has thrown sarcasm on Tom on doing action movies. Besides, when asked Lee Child the book’s author he stated that: “It sounds extremely patronizing, but I think it’s good for him. He’s too old for this stuff.”
He also added saying he is “too old” and “he’s 57, he needs to move on, a transition to being a character actor. He could get another 20 years out of it. He is talented. He’s a terrific guy, very considerate, good fun.”
Lee is now doing a film based on Jack Reacher for TV on a web platform rather sailing with a cruise. He had stated this in 2018 saying that the “Mission: Impossible actor too short for the part” as he is only 5’8 and the character is expected to be 6’5.
When Tom cruise was part of 2012 Jack Reacher was taken with $50 million but it yearned a whopping $218 million across the world. Whereas 2016 Jack Reacher: “Never Go Back” was a flop. The quality was not up to the mark as the previous parts.
The movie was helmed by Christopher McQuarrie who went on to associate frequently with Cruise. The director and Tom are coming together for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 and it’s on the floor back to back and will hit the screens this summer 2021 and 2022.
