Have you watched the movie, “Moana?” If you haven’t, let’s first brief you on it. The story, set in ancient Polynesia, revolves around the girl, “Moana,” the daughter of a village’s chief. Moana travels in search of Maui, a demi-god with whose assistance, she can return a relic to the goddess, Te Fiti, and save her people.
So, what’s special about “Moana 2?” Moana receives a call from her wayfinding ancestors. So she sets sail to reach Oceania. On this adventure, Moana faces several challenges, especially from the monsters headed by the underworld goddess, Matangi. In order to vanquish her new enemies and reconnect the communities at Oceania, Moana tries to get the assistance of the demi-god, Maui. Yes! The demi-god plays a prominent role in the sequel also!
Auliʻi Cravalho renders the voice of Moana, and Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), offers his voice for the demi-god – Maui. Fans of the original movie are eagerly waiting for the release of the sequel. Moana’s little sister is also being introduced in the sequel. Moreover, there are going to be some new, amazing musical tracks, which are definitely going to be treats for the audience’s ears.
Disney has stated that Moana 2 will be released on the 27th of November 2024. There has already been a teaser trailer of the movie on Walt Disney Animation Studios – an official site.
The Rock, who has been with the movie right from its conception, has stated, “I can’t wait for fans to see the film, the technology, the effects, cutting edge. We all really went for it…”
