Everything about the Tribeca Festival 2024

The Tribeca Beckons You!!!

The Tribeca Festival is back for its 23rd year, running from June 5-16, 2024, and it’s promising an electrifying lineup that speaks to the current political and cultural climate. With 103 indie features, documentaries, and foreign films on the docket, this year’s festival is set to be a cinematic feast you won’t want to miss.

Must-See Movies and Stars

One of the standout films is Jazzy, starring the phenomenal Lily Gladstone. Also making waves is Daddio, featuring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn in what promises to be a gripping performance. Alicia Vikander and Jude Law team up in Firebrand, and Andrew McCarthy directs an 80s nostalgia trip in Brats, bringing together icons like Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald, and Lea Thompson.

But that’s not all. Michael Angarano’s Sacramento, starring Michael Cera and Kristen Stewart, is creating a buzz, as is Winter Spring Summer, or Fall with Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White. And don’t forget Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story, featuring the legendary Liza Minnelli.

Comedy and Music Galore

Comedy lovers are in for a treat with Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution, showcasing talents like Lily Tomlin, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O’Donnell, Hannah Gadsby, and Joel Kim Booster. Music fans can look forward to They All Came Out To Montreux, featuring iconic performances by Prince, Sting, and Aretha Franklin, among others. Plus, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Linda Perry will perform live at the premieres of their respective documentaries.

TV Treats

The festival isn’t just about films. Hulu’s Mastermind: To Think Like A Killer dives into the mind of Dr. Anne Burgess, while Hollywood Black, executive produced by Justin Simien, examines the Black experience in Hollywood with insights from Issa Rae and Ava DuVernay. Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent stars, Jake Gyllenhaal in a legal thriller, and ESPN’s In the Arena: Serena Williams promises an intimate look at the tennis legend’s life.

This year’s Tribeca Festival is set to be a cultural touchstone, blending entertainment with timely political discourse, and offering a platform for diverse voices and stories. Don’t miss out on this cinematic celebration!
