If you love “My Heart Will Go On,” you probably like other songs by Celine Dion too. There are “Celine Dion” fans in all age groups worldwide. So, what is the latest buzz about this remarkable singer? It’s not that good… Anyway, let’s see what the Canadian singer is battling with.
Celine Dion suffers from “stiff-person syndrome,” which is a neurological disorder that affects 1 or 2 in a million. The disease causes painful muscle spasms in Dion’s body. Because of her struggle with the disease, the 56-year-old singer has been forced to cancel many of her shows.
Stiff-person syndrome results in stiffness of the muscles (hence the name), discomfort, and spasms. If treated properly, the patient will be relieved from these symptoms to some extent. In addition to causing muscle pain in the back, the syndrome can also cause pain and discomfort in the other muscles of the body. The disease has the capability to affect Dion’s vocal cords too.
“I Am: Celine Dion” is a documentary on the singer that’s slated to release on 25th June 2024 (Amazon Prime Video). As the name indicates, the documentary revolves around Dion, along with a closer look at her life with her sons on the outskirts of Las Vegas. A press release on the film states that fans will get to enjoy Dion’s sense of humor and her joyful approach to life despite the struggles she faces.
