Miley ‘Makes the Rules’ at Family Game Nights, says Brandi Cyrus

As we have always known her as a rule breaker, Miley Cyrus is also a certified rule maker!

The three-time Grammy winner’s sister, Brandi Cyrus, said in an exclusive interview in 2025 that Miley “makes the rules” during the Cyrus family game nights.

She also stated, “Something that we love to do that’s probably so unexpected is we love to play cards.” “It’s so silly. We love Uno. It’s a classic,” the DJ and actress added about the family game nights that usually happen during the holidays. When asked if it’s okay to put a Draw 2 card on top of another Draw 2, a highly contested Uno rule, Brandi quickly answered, “You got to ask Miley Cyrus because she makes the rules.” 

Brandi also mentioned that the rules may not be the same on every other game night. “I can’t even keep up,” she admitted. “One time the answer is yes, but the next time the answer might be no. Miley is definitely the one in charge.” Brandi had announced that she would be DJing at the country star Kenny Chesney’s Las Vegas residency at The Sphere in May and June, two days after she appeared at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. 

Brandi also posted an announcement about the gig, captioning, “THE SPHERE!!! A once in a lifetime experience and I’m SOOO thrilled to be joining @kennychesney for all 15 shows of his iconic residency! I can’t wait to put together an extra special show for y’all. Let’s party!!!”

Brandi is a co-host at the Sorry We’re Stoned podcast, with her mother Tish. It is a podcast that is set to “give an inside look at Hollywood’s craziest (and most fun, obviously) family.” 

She mentioned that despite the Cyrus family drama throughout the years, she has always had a friendship with Tish. “We started to have more of a friendship dynamic, like we do now,” she said in 2024. “And with this podcast, we control it and don’t have to answer to anybody and get to kind of just do what we want, and it’s so much fun to do together,” said Brandi. 

Tish added, saying, “I couldn’t be more proud of my kids — every single one of them. I look at Brandi and think, ‘I made that!’ “And Miley and I have such a beautiful working relationship and a mother-daughter relationship, and I don’t know how we survived everything and made that happen, but we did,” she continued as a proud mother
