Coca-Cola has decided to take a bold step by introducing a new flavor after 10 years, shedding its sole reliance on classical Coke for a while to explore the limits of human taste. The new flavor in the spotlight is deemed “Orange-Vanilla” (and yes, they are ONE single flavor).
Seems like Coca-Cola could put a person to sleep by just using the two most boring words in their new product — Orange and Vanilla.
It met with a mixed bag of responses encouraging optimistic view like this:
soda is poison but i will be first in line for orange vanilla coke

Some neutral takes such as:
New Coca-Cola flavor: Orange Vanilla….I’m not sure how I feel about that combo…?

And, some brandishing it outright without any premeditation:
They already have strawberry Coke at one of our local restaurants on the diy tap to fill your drinks. That’s gross enough. Orange vanilla?? That is absolutely disgusting!!!

You gotta give it to Coca-Cola, which always loves to be in the spotlight of controversy and speculation.
But why on Earth ORANGE-VANILLA?
Coca-Cola had some explaining to do. Coca-Cola brand director Kate Carpenter quoted “We wanted to bring back positive memories of carefree summer days,” she further went on to add, “That’s why we leaned into the orange-vanilla flavor combination – which is reminiscent of the creamy orange popsicles we grew up loving, but in a classically Coke way.”
