A rep of Chris Pine denied the alleged ‘spitting’ incident surrounding the actor and music star Harry Styles at the Venice International Film Festival that took over social media.

A footage that ruled social media for a while shows Styles making a subtle motion with his mouth as he is about to sit next to Pine, suggesting he may have spit.

“Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine,” the rep said, adding that the claims were “a ridiculous story” and “a complete fabrication.”

Despite the wide reception and a seven-minute standing ovation—with critics praising Florence Pugh’s ‘Oscar-worthy’ performance—the rumored drama surrounding Olivia Wilde’s upcoming thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” caught the spotlight.

What went wrong?

Everyone expected to witness some high drama at the Don’t Worry Darling premier, but the amount of awkwardness shows there’s more than meets the eye.

Florence Pugh was seemingly falling out with Olivia Wilde and the star avoiding eye contact with her director only fueled the rumors. Pugh announced that she will not be present for any promotional events, except for the Venice International Film Festival. The ‘Black Widow’ star was also not present at the press conference this week.

And the relationship between Olivia and Harry Styles was adding fuel to all the drama

Rumors spread wild a few weeks ago when Olivia Wilde claimed that she had to fire Shia LaBeouf, who was to play the lead, due to his “combative energy” and to “protect” Florence, making sure she felt “safe” on set.

Above all, Chris Pine being distracted, or what Twitter calls “astral projecting,” became an instant trend, with people summing up the drama by saying “cinema is really back.”
