Bruce Springsteen’s Show Gets Sold out

All seats were sold for Springsteen’s solo acoustic performance on Broadway! Bruce Springsteen’s “Springsteen on Broadway” show sold out 31 shows in a short period.

The 71-year-old 20-time Grammy Award winner threw on 236 sold-out performances in October 2017 and December 2018. But this year, the singer came back after a long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Springsteen’s show is the first show on Broadway after the pandemic, so fully vaccinated audiences with proof were only admitted. The show could sell out giant concert halls, and ‘the boss’ selected St. James Theatre, which accommodates 1,700 seats considering the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bruce Springsteen arrived on the St. James Theatre stage on Saturday at 8 p.m. after 15 months of shutdown. Fans were overwhelmed in joy and cheered the singer. Springsteen said, “it’s been a long time coming, “It’s good to see everyone here tonight unmasked, sitting next to each other. What a year, I’m 71 years on this planet, and I’ve never seen anything like it.” and he was so emotional and wiped his tears at the end of the show. Springsteen said the summer reprise allowed him to spend more time, figuratively speaking, with his late father and other fallen relatives.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and US transportation were also present. Springsteen’s long-term guitarist, Steven van Zandt, received a standing ovation when he took a seat in the audience. Springsteen spoke more about his family and current situation. Springsteen said he’s never seen American democracy as threatened as it is today about George Floyd killing. The Springsteen show marked the rebirth of live entertainment amid the pandemic.
