One of the youngest to design Hollywood’s most eminent awards ‘The Oscars’ was quite brilliant and unexpected in all these decades of the Academy’s 92 yr old history. And now for this, he might be running for an Emmy soon.
As Hollywood is struggling with the coronavirus pandemic the 30 yr old has stated that the opportunity with the Oscars is a lifetime professional experience and garner.
Speaking to sources he said: “The spirit of collaboration was very much alive on that show,” and “Given the current moment, it’s become a beautiful token, a reminder of a time when we were able to gather, to form small communities and create work together as a team.”
The 2020 academy awards were held on February 9th at the Dolby Theatre in L.A and it might have been the most memorable day for him as it is a big step in a small-time. The special night saw “Parasite” a Korean flick grabbing four awards along with the best picture award. It’s quite a surprise to see a non-English film to win commercially and critical acclaims.
And Sherwood wanted to “break the mold of what was normally done on the show.”
In the end, he presented producers Stephanie Allain and Lynette Howell Taylor with 4 concepts eventually.
