Ex-Kasabian singer Tom Meighan has been alleged and found guilty for abusing his former in a drunken stage.
The star who said yesterday he is stepping down from the band for “personal reasons” and was brought before the Leicester court for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend Vikki Ager.
He also accepted for being violent on his ex in a drunken stage. This incident was captured in CCTV and revealed him attacking the victim and pulling her by her ankles in the backyard of their home amidst lockdown in April.
The attorney’s stated that the court has filed charges with domestic violence and it is a “personal humiliation, but he has nobody but himself to blame”.
Tom had initially denied the attack but later admitted post watching the video and stated to the police officers that he ‘could not watch it any further because it was “horrible”.’
The court heard what Miss Vikki after being wounded badly in her knees, left elbow, outer ankle and big toe and also reddishness around the neck which she said to cops post the assault.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor Naeem Valli said: “could be argued to be relatively serious” – describing it as a “sustained assault.”
Tom has been charged with 200 hours of unpaid job. This news broke after he exited the band.
The band stated: “Tom Meighan is stepping down from Kasabian by mutual consent.”
“Tom has struggled with personal issues that have affected his behavior for quite some time and now wants to concentrate all his energies on getting his life back on track.”
“We will not be commenting further.”
Post the official statement, Tom shared in his twitter to his followers: “Following today’s announcement I just wanted to let you all know that I am doing well.”
