Amidst the ongoing pandemic situation, the Washington cultural places are set to reopen. The responses vary from each institution: The Kennedy Center has called off most of its events throughout 2020.

Further, ‘The Smithsonian’ is doing it gradually and implementing the ‘analogy of a dimmer switch’ other than just tossing the light on with the museum still closed. But few other had reopened its doors and as safety is vital with strict social distancing: “Thou shalt wear a face mask” is one of the Museum of the Bible’s “COVID Commandments,” while the Spy Museum provides a “spy gadget,” or stylus, for use with touch screens, elevator buttons and any other surface that might spread germs.”

Moreover, ‘The National Gallery of Art’s Sculpture Garden’ has selected its entrance and exit gates to control the gathering. And if you are finding a place to take your children for relaxing for a few hours then these are the places to step in.

Hillwood Estate and Gardens

The estate is set to open on June 27th and the number of permits will be restricted with social distancing. So whoever visits must ensure to make individual entry bookings. It will be opened from Tuesday to Sunday and the fee stands $5 -$18 and for the age group of 5 and less than that will be allowed for free.

International Spy Museum

The museum which shifted to a plush building in L’Enfant Plaza in 2019 has opened back with only a few capacities and more distancing. Only a few of the interactive elements are kept due to less contact. Addressing through email on this the manager of the museum Aliza Bran stated that: “An interactive like the Air Duct is exceptionally difficult to transition to an appropriate touchless form, so we will not make it available at this time.”
