Back last month on the 25th YouTube had removed Michael Moore productions doc which was based on an environment called ‘Planet of the Humans’ after the filmmaker had released it for free on his most-viewed YouTube Channel.
The tech tycoon had stated a copyright violation that was made by photographer Toby Smith in a 4-second clip in the speculated documentary which had shown some of the most influential pictures from an environment like ‘Al Gore and Bill McKibben, and explores big money’s influence on sustainability efforts.’
Toby spoke in a recent magazine stating that he had made the claims since he opposed the movie thesis and YouTube agree.
Moore was quite disappointed and said: “The fact that some so-called leaders of our beloved environmental movement resorted to slandering and suppressing a movie that called them out for their failures, that warned the public that we were losing the battle against climate change because these ‘leaders’ believed capitalism and billionaires would save planet Earth, has set the movement back so many years.”
Further filmmaker Jeff Gibbs said that he and Michael had acquired the rights to use the footage and ‘after much struggle and bad PR for the platform YouTube acquired the documentary to Moore’s channel.’
This is not the first doc to get removed as there several other docs that were taken off in the past or blindly rejected.
