BBC Postpones ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to Mid-October!

The BBC panel has decided to postpone the dancing show to the mid of October and it will be aired for a shorter period.

It is expected to have only 9 or 10 episodes than the previous 13 episodes from last year.

Due to the ongoing pandemic crisis, the show producers have planned to have very few celebs and expert dancers to contest.

The news came after yesterday when it was said that the channel has cut off “The Apprentice” for 2020 due to lockdown rules as it is difficult to shoot.

Further, it was felt that postponing will only enable them to film this year’s season by maintaining social distancing.

All professional artists’ performances are shot prior.

As per sources: “BBC bosses were adamant they would do anything to keep their biggest show on the air, and this proves that.”

“But they’ve decided that pushing it back gives them more time to get stuff pre-recorded safely, and more time to iron out any other issues.”

Besides a BBC representative also said: “To ensure we deliver the high standards audiences know and love, and in light of ongoing considerations around Covid-19, this year’s series of Strictly will have a slightly shorter run than usual.”

“The safety of our cast and crew is of the utmost importance to us.”

Reports also emphasized earlier on how the expert dancers have to quarantine with their celebrity partners prior to the beginning of the show.
