The Good Morning Britain host has now been positive as she said that her husband Derek Draper has ‘opened his eyes’ after his struggle with COIVD-19.
Kate’s husband has been battling with the pandemic disease from March-end and later went into coma.
After days of sadness, the 53 yr old host had finally put up a smile when she was out with her 10 yr old son in London on Tuesday.
The mother of two was seen wearing a white tee paired with a turquoise floral blazer and rounded off with beige boots along with a black hoodie in her hand.
Kate has been through trauma after her spouse of 15 years fell as prey to the ongoing pandemic.
Though he is corona free he is affected with organ complications that have ‘wreaked extraordinary damage’ in his body stating that he might not recover.
Speaking to Sun she said: “she was trying to remain as upbeat as possible, as he has opened his eyes.”
“There is no reason to think that his hearing isn’t working,’ she said. ‘And he’s opened his eyes, so the hope is that he moves through stages of consciousness and emerges.”
Though there is a small ray of hope, Kate also said that doctors have told that Draper may remain in the coma for all his life.
