On Friday the Late Night Show host Jimmy Kimmel kick-started with the ongoing outrage of George Floyd’s demise in Minneapolis and he feels that the U.S president has messed up the issue.
George was a weaponless black man who was brutally murdered while e was arrested by the state police and his death flashed anger across the country and ended protests in several places.
Kimmel stated that instead of calming down the scenario Trump shared a threatening message in his social media. Speaking on trump’s tweet that was condemned by Twitter stating that he has broken the policies on “glorification of violence.” He added saying that Trump was explicitly scaring American people.
He said: “Our president is threatening to order the military to shoot Americans, specifically black Americans.”
The host also stated that the president later attempted to take back the tweet stating that it was misunderstood.
To this Kimmel asked: “Is this who you want leading us? A president who clearly and intentionally inflames violence in the middle of a riot to show how tough he is? A commander in chief who threatens to put members of our military, our national guardsmen and women in the position of having to shoot a fellow American on-sight?”
He then ended by saying that the people in the political arena must stand against Trump for what he has done.
