Tracee Ellis the daughter popular actor Diana Ross elevates her character as a pop sensation in the movie ‘The High Note.’ She plays an aging singer whose profession has gone crossroads. Even though the film goes with the flow, it witnesses characters who desire to have a passion for music.

Post ‘Fifty Shades’ series Dakota Johnson is portraying a more exciting version as Maggie the harried assistant to Grace Davis. Introduced by her manager she comes from Maui through a private jet and Grace encounters an elite issue when she is put up in Las Vegas home.

Meanwhile Maggie an ardent fan with some ideas in music is gradually revealed in the movie and goes on to become a producer and keeps reaching high in her business. Further, she slowly pushes Grace to uphold her integrity telling her own saying: “When there are no more surprises, then who am I doing it for?”

When Maggie has a hard time she meets a brilliant singer David (Kelvin Harrison Jr.,) and becomes a part of his career as well. Later she is seen stuck between producing and doing tireless work amidst all hurdles and makes their relationship complicated.

‘The High Note’ is quite convincing with its storyline and songbook with a glimpse of the music world that is a little similar to “A Star is Born.”
