The global crisis of Corona taking a toll on the Hollywood and entertainment industry is well-witnessed across the world. The shutdown due to this pandemic didn’t just halt the release of movies but also ruined the industry at the production level.

Grey’s Anatomy happens to be the first to announce the pre-wrapping of the production. The Disney-owned ABC Entertainment officially declared on Friday that the latest season of medical drama which is supposed to have 25 episodes is set to wrap with 21 episodes. The web series, starring Ellen Pompeo decided not to resume the production to complete those remaining episodes. Grey’s, which this season bid farewell to one of its few remaining original stars (Justin Chambers), has already been renewed for its 17th season. It remains unclear when any production on live-action programming for next season will be safe to resume. Traditionally, returning shows resume filming in July.
