The Comedians in Cars is a sensational show which was once claimed by a fellow teammate that he had brought the concept. On the other hand, Christian Charles stated that he had actually recommended it to Seinfeld way back in 2002 before it was aired.
Since Charles had filed the case after 6 years but it couldn’t be taken into account as the time for that was only 3 years said the Manhattan Judge Alison Nathan.
Further, Seinfeld’s attorney has stated that: “Jerry Seinfeld created Comedians in Cars and this lawsuit was nothing but a money-grab seeking to capitalize on the success of the show. We are pleased that the court saw through the noise.” “Today’s victory is a complete vindication.”
Whereas Christian said that his “project called Two Stupid Guys in a Stupid Car to a Stupid Town,” was told to Jerry Seinfeld in 2002. Later he went on to helm “The Pilot of Comedians,” in 2011. By then there was a rift between Seinfeld and Charles as the later had claimed for more reimbursement than the quoted amount what Seinfeld had stated.
From Charles’s side, his legal advisor stated that: “We are, of course, disappointed, and also slammed Seinfeld for his “egregious, shabby conduct.”
The show Comedians in Cars witnesses varied high profiles with Jerry Seinfeld in a classic vintage car every episode. The main idea is that the host and the guest go for a drive and sip coffee at a café which has been allocated.
Some of the celebrities were Chris Rock, Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Kevin Hart and Ellen DeGeneres. Other than comedians there were other high profiles and one such is former President Barack Obama.
