Twitter has been a major platform connecting fans and celebrities where they share their hearts out. One such incident was Ellen DeGeneres and George Bush. Fans were angry with Ellen DeGeneres as she was seated near former President George W. Bush.

The former president is known for bringing a ban on gay rights so twitter was raging as they were both sharing a lighter moment together at the big game between Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. Fans posted saying that how she can sit with a person who banned gay rights.

At one point Ellen broke her silence on the issue and stated that: “that it’s “okay we’re all different”. She went on to say on her show on Tuesday that: “Here’s the thing – I’m friends with George Bush and in fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different, and I think we’ve forgotten that that’s okay, that we’re all different.”

The talk show also emphasized that “When I say be kind to one another, I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean to be kind to everyone.” And just because I don’t agree with someone on everything, doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them.”
