Russian President Vladimir Putin said “jokingly” that he plans on interfering the 2020 presidential elections at a panel discussion at Russian Energy Week in Moscow.
Amidst allegations on meddling with the American election last year, which is still a matter of controversy, Putin wittily remarked that he’s “definitely” interfering in the upcoming elections.
According to a CNN news report, Putin said, “I’ll tell you a secret: Yes, we’ll definitely do it, just don’t tell anyone.”
Then later, he chose to point out why he couldn’t meddle even if he wanted to. He said that he already has his hands full in dealing with internal affairs in Russia. He continued, “You know, we have enough of our own problems. We are engaged in resolving internal problems and are primarily focused on this.”
There have been many times when Putin was directly embroiled in awkward situations which required him to speak up on Russia meddling in the 2016 elections.
There was this one time, in the G20 summit in Japan held in June, a reporter asks Trump if Putin will interfere in the 2020 elections, to which Trump attempts to assure the reporter by saying “Don’t meddle in the election”, while wiggling his finger at Putin.
Ahead of his one-on-one meeting with Vladimir Putin at the G-20 summit in Japan, Pres. Trump was asked whether he’ll “tell Russian not to meddle in the 2020 election.”
“Of course, I will,” said Pres. Trump. https://t.co/HznyciwRty pic.twitter.com/laVeEXV5xZ

Say whatever you want, but Putin is the most badass world leader right now. He had the audacity to put America’s democracy on the line by commenting on live TV.
Son a gun.
