Tottenham Spurs was creating records as they marched towards the Champions League. But sadly their dreams were crushed on Tuesday as they were knocked out surprisingly from the game by Colchester United.
Colchester is a team that is far away from top teams and it is said to be below 70 in football rankings. It’s still clueless where the fault was with Spurs and during the game, one could see that going to final was impossible when the game was halfway.
The spurs have been formless from mid-February and it has won 8, drawn 6 and lost 12 out of 26 games. With the team appearing 17 matches it was just 4 more to surpass.
The major point to be noted is the team had so many changes while shootout with Colchester and on the whole it had 10 replacements all through the week especially their defeat to Leicester. But the Coach Mauricio Pochettino managed to finish the game with “Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Ben Davies, and Son Heung-Min.”
But Pochettino has to find a solution to bring back the team on track. Tottenham is out of form and it’s sad to see that it has won only 2 from 16 games from January. Those 2 were won against Borussia Dortmund and Ajax.
The way they lost was actually games that were easy roads to victory.
