Emmy’s are always a dream for every television series to win. 2019 awards have been fortunate for many especially for “Fleabag and 4th historic win for Game of Thrones.”
The epic win at the 71st Emmy has given a tough run to other peers with numerous awards in a year. Fleabag bagged 4 awards except for comedy, the Amazon Prime series slightly brought disappointed to the cast stated Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
She made a funny statement that “well this is just getting ridiculous,” when she received the award. Whereas for Game of Thrones it’s was the expected one amidst fans.
The awards enlightened many new faces which were quite unexpected on the occasion. Besides, Pose starring Billy Porter won and there were many talks for LGBT and women’s rights.
Besides, Fleabag it was “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” which with 5 awards. In terms of talk show, it was “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver,” which had bagged 4 awards beating “The Daily Show,” which was unbeatable for the past few decades.
Debut winners were “Jodie Comer for BBC America’s “Killing Eve,” “Ozark’s” Julia Garner and Jharrel Jerome for the limited series “When They See Us.” Screenwriter Ava DuVernay’s Netflix web series dedicated his award to his loved ones.
